Upgrade E-mail Client

Postby tailsrescue » Wed Jul 23, 2008 9:20 am

Would it be possible to upgrade the Web Mail clients within Rescue Groups (ie. SquirrelMail and RoundCube) to allow groups within the address book? Because this one feature isn't available within these clients, we are needing to use an e-mail client on our own computers, which works, but everyone then has to maintain there own address books which is difficult and time consuming to keep updated. Additionally, having more features available; such flagging messages different colors to allow multiple users to know the status of a particular e-mail would also be very beneficial. As it stands right now, all you can do is mark is Read or Unread which isn't very useful.

tailsrescue,

Thanks for the suggestion. There aren't a lot of options out there for us beyond the basic web mail programs like SquirrelMail and RoundCube. We're looking at possibly providing a more collaborative solution for organizations, but it would most likely be an additional cost/service since we would have to pay extra to provide the service. It could potentially offer a lot of extra features to help organizations manage their email communications, scheduling, contacts, etc. I hope to have more information on that in the near future. Is that something you would be interested in?

tailsrescue,

Be sure to check the New Services forum for some additional information concerning the additional email service we're hoping to provide.

Thanks,
