I've finally completed my test assignment on 11/23/2008. Here are the issues I encountered:
Animals: Templates:* I am unable to add new Owner or new Rescue records directly from the animal template page—after I enter the information and save the contact, it displays the error message:
“Oops, we had an error on one of our servers. We have logged the error and will follow up to resolve any issues. If you would like to contact us concerning this error, please email
webmaster@rescuegroups.org. We apologize for the inconvenience. The error was: Database Error.”
* Although I am able to add new Foster, Colony, and Location records directly from the animal template page, it should be mentioned that each of those drop downs allowed entry of incorrect data in the city, state, and zipcode fields without recognizing it.
* I was able to edit templates, but some values did not come forward on the edited version.
* I was unable to delete templates – it displayed “Error on Page”
Animals: Add an Animal:*When I add an animal and load a template, some of the values do not load as expected, including: secondary breed, found zipcode (and therefore found date). Especially problematic is the Birthdate—when I select 1 year for the age on the template, it populates the birthdate incorrectly as 2007-11-24 and displays the message: “This date is invalid. Please use the format MM/DD/YYYY.” Then if I alter it to the requested format, it allows me to ‘Save Animal’, but on the animal’s Web Page it incorrectly displays the animal’s age as 1997 years 11 months.
*All 4 photos seem to upload to the Add page, but when I ‘Save Animal’, the 3 bottom photos don’t appear and I get the error message “Oops, we had an error on one of our servers. We have logged the error and will follow up to resolve any issues. If you would like to contact us concerning this error, please email
webmaster@rescuegroups.org. We apologize for the inconvenience. The error was: Database Error.”
No issues were encountered for
Animals: Enable/Disable Fields; Required Fields; Browse Fields; List; Special Lists; Custom Special Lists; or Search.
(I don’t have other volunteers to check my shared templates to find out if they can see them or to create templates to see if I can delete them, so I wasn't able to do that part of my test assignment.)
My testing was done on a PC / Vista / Internet Explorer.
